Invictus draws its cues from theatre: character choices that matter, tension that keeps building, and a campaign built toward a conclusion that lands, one your table will still be talking about years later.
Our innovative storytelling system emphasises character-driven drama, developing mystery, and tactical combat where decisions translate fast into action. It stays light on mechanical overhead to keep you immersed in both character and story.

The Rules
Take the risk, and Danger Dice pile up against you. Land the Hit anyway, and none of it mattered, every stacked die disappears the moment you succeed.
Fall short instead, and you can still walk away by spending your Luck or pushing on your reserves of will. As Heroes, you have an array of Powers, ready the instant you dare to play them. Invictus rewards the bold, not the careful.
Dramatic Storytelling
You never roll a die. Every consequence is a thread you pull taut instead, a Swing or a Miss handing you the choice between a Soft Move that complicates the story, or a Hard Move that changes it outright.
Spend Fate, and you knot it tighter still, escalating a Soft Move into a Hard one, cutting in ahead of the table, or unleashing a boss's own Fate Move when the moment finally arrives. As Narrator, you shape the story instead of rolling for it, and the table never sees it coming.
